Mary Harriett Cofer Gentry, 77, of Amarillo, Texas, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 1996, in Amarillo.

She was the daughter of Charles and Erna Osterloh Cofer of Cape Girardeau. Her parents owned Cofer's Clothing Store on the corner of Sprigg and Good Hope. She married Phillip Brooks Gentry.

Gentry was a 1935 graduate of Central High School, and graduate of Southeast Missouri State University.

Survivors include her husband, two sons, and several grandchildren.

Funeral service was held in Amarillo.
