SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Mary F. Church, 78, of Granite City, Ill., died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born Dec. 24, 1923, in Illmo, Mo., daughter of John and Ada Robertson Williams. She married Lindsay M. Church Sr., who died in 1990.
Church was a caseworker with Illinois Department of Public Aid in Granite City. She lived in Scott City a number of years.
She was a member of Nameoki Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine, Demolay, a garden club, Loyal Order of the Moose, Eagles, Chouteau Township Senior Citizens, and Southwestern Illinois College's Programs and Services for Older Persons Club.
Survivors include two sons, Lindsay Church Jr. of Lewisburg, W.Va., Barry Church of Granite City; three daughters, Victoria Boyd of Granite City, Mary Gismegian of St. Peters, Mo., Pamela Kern of Huntsville, Ala.; a friend, Charles Stief of Granite City; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Werner-Mick Funeral Home in Pontoon Beach, Ill., was in charge of arrangements.
