Mary Cato

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Mary Edith Cato, 94, of Puxico, Missouri, passed away July 25, 2021, at Delta South Nursing and Rehab Center in Sikeston, Missouri.

She was born July 8, 1927, in Essex, Missouri, the daughter of Richard Deen and Anna Mae Barks Esarey. Mary and Arzie Cato were united in marriage on Dec. 27, 1947, and he preceded her in death on July 24, 2008.

Mary spent her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. She was a member of the Oak Grove General Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Dale (Joann) Cato of Sikeston; a daughter, Edith Seabaugh of Advance, Missouri; eight grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
