SIKESTON, Mo. -- Mary Lucille Carson, 69, of Sikeston died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born May 12, 1932, in Sikeston, daughter of Grover Cleveland and Magdalene Cantrell Heath. She first married John H. Pobst Jan. 9, 1950, in Piggott, Ark. He died May 3, 1998. She and Jackie Lee Carson were married Oct. 26, 1998, in Mesa, Ariz...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Mary Lucille Carson, 69, of Sikeston died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 12, 1932, in Sikeston, daughter of Grover Cleveland and Magdalene Cantrell Heath. She first married John H. Pobst Jan. 9, 1950, in Piggott, Ark. He died May 3, 1998. She and Jackie Lee Carson were married Oct. 26, 1998, in Mesa, Ariz.

Carson was personnel director at JCPenney seven years and also had worked at Sterling Department Store, both in Sikeston. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella Circle 768.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Michael and Scott Pobst of Sikeston; two daughters, Debby Holland and Pam Hunter of Sikeston; a sister, Judy Pobst of Oran, Mo.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Sunday. A prayer service will be held at 7:30.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Church, with Msgr. William Stanton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
