Funeral for Mary Margaret Carroll of St. Joseph will be held at 10 a.m. today at First Presbyterian Church in Warrensburg. The Rev. Alex Wales will officiate. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery at Sedalia.
Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home at Warrensburg is in charge of arrangements.
Carroll, 89, died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at Saxon's Tiffany Woods Care Center in St. Joseph.
Formerly of Cape Girardeau, she was born April 27, 1909, at Clear Creek, daughter of Riley and Theresa Perkins Retherford. She and Glenn Gordon Carroll were married July 7, 1937, at Sedalia. He died May 30, 1964.
Carroll moved to Warrensburg in 1962 from Cape Girardeau. She was a housing assistant from 1964-74 at Central Missouri State University. She was a hostess with Welcome Wagon from 1974-84.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and its Circle 4, PEO Chapter CB, ABC Club, and had been a hospital volunteer. She was a past president of the Presbyterian Women's Association and the GFWC Warrensburg Study Club.
Survivors include a son, Roger Carroll of St. Joseph; a daughter, Marge Nisbet of Mt. Prospect, Ill.; a sister, Alice Aggeler of Kansas City; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
