URBANDALE, Ill. -- Mary C. Potts, 84, of Urbandale, Ill., died Sunday at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 11, 1912, in Ballard County, Ky., daughter of David and Emma Hawes Reeves. She was a retired cook for the Walker Towing Co. and a member of the Urbandale Community Chapel Church.
She is survived by four sons, Jerry Potts of Villa Ridge, Edwin Potts of Urbandale, Kenneth Potts of Burbank and Dean Potts of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Gertie Reed of Columbus, Miss., and Elizabeth Cottrell of Seattle; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two grandsons and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Vester Keesee officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
