Heaven gained an angel, Mary A. Busch, passed away peacefully at the Lutheran Home. She was 87 years old.
She was born Mary Anna Davidson on Nov. 24, 1933, in Rector, Arkansas to Finis Leo and Bernedith Virginia Davidson.
She and Melvin "Buddy" Busch were married 1953.
After graduating from Cape Girardeau Central High School, Mary began a 45-year career with Southwestern Bell/AT&T Telephone companies. After retirement Mary devoted her time to her family, church and her favorite place Melbourne Beach, Florida.
Mary enjoyed life to its fullest. She traveled to many foreign countries to spread the word of Christ. She was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church. She joined a life group and was a member of the "chain gang" where she made many friendships and touched many hearts. She had an artistic talent and crotchet many items for anyone who would ask her.
She is survived by two sons, Mark (Vicky) Busch and Matt Busch, all of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Mariann Wilson of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, David Davidson of Cape Girardeau and Lynn (Kay) Davidson of Cedar Hill, Texas; a friend, Rosemary of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren, Jessica (Ben) Stratton, Trey (Sarah) Busch, Meredith (Ross) McLeod, Taylor (Kara) Busch, Jamie Wilson, Mason Busch, Ethan Busch and Nicky Busch; 11 great-grandchildren, Lillian, Audrey, Anniston and Collin Stratton, Avery, Ashton, Greyson, Hadley and Brynlie Busch, Will McLeod and Asa Wade Rodgers; and many nieces and nephews who she adored.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Melvin Lee Busch Jr.
Private visitation and funeral service will be Saturday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
