SIKESTON -- Mary Atha McAnulty, 79, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1991 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. A former resident of Morehouse, she has resided in Overland, Mo. the past 30 years. She has worked as an LPN at a St. Louis hospital for many years. She was a member of the Northwest Assembly of God Church there...

SIKESTON -- Mary Atha McAnulty, 79, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1991 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

A former resident of Morehouse, she has resided in Overland, Mo. the past 30 years. She has worked as an LPN at a St. Louis hospital for many years. She was a member of the Northwest Assembly of God Church there.

She was born Feb. 15, 1912 to James McGarity and Myrtle Ruth Robinson at Russellville, Ark.

On Sept. 20, 1928, she married William Roosevelt McAnulty in Russellville, Ark. He died Nov. 6, 1977.

Survivors include: six sons, William McAnulty of Sikeston, Robert McAnulty of St. Peters, James McAnulty of Overland, Harold McAnulty of St. Louis, Forrest McAnulty of Divernan, Ill., and Benny McAnulty of Florissant; one daughter, Mary Beth Rettig of Sikeston; two brothers, Earl McGarity of Panama City, Fla. and Edward McGarity of Essex, Mo.; one sister, Bobbie Ruth McAnulty of Sikeston; 25 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston today after 5 p.m.

Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with the Rev. George Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
