PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Mary Ann Taylor, 90, of Perryville, died Friday, June 21, 2013, at Perry Oaks Nursing Center in Perryville.
She was born Oct. 9, 1922 at Silver Lake, Mo., daughter of Robert and Mary Mabel Layton McDowell. She and Elmer F. Taylor were married Sept. 25, 1945. He preceded her in death Feb. 25, 2006.
Mrs. Taylor retired from International Shoe Company in 1985 after working there 43 years. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald J. (Elaine) Taylor of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Duane D. Taylor of Temple, Texas; two brothers, Arthur (Lola) McDowell and Carl (Leola) McDowell; two sisters, Christine (Jack) Hahn and Monica (Charles) Gibbar, both of Perryville; six grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her oldest son, Elmer F. (Joan) Taylor Jr.; and two brothers, Chalmer A. and Robert E. McDowell.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville. Parish wake will be at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Raymond Oge officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
