Mary Alice Jones, 75, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 1991 at Ratliff Nursing Home.
She was born July 12, 1916 in the state of Oklahoma, the daughter of Josh Vanderdoort and Wilie Lou Moore. She was married to Sam E. Jones, who preceded her in death on April 24, 1972.
She had worked as a cook at various cafes in Southeast Missouri, and served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II. She was a member of the Assembly of God faith.
Survivors include: one brother, Loren Hicks, of Shady Point, Ok.; three sisters, Lois Barnes of Woodlake, Calif., and Inez Douglas and Lessie Rackley of Oklahoma City, Ok.; and two nieces, Dessie Gaines of Delta, and Norma Dunlap of Cape Girardeau.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee, with Rev. Glen Golden officiating. Amick-Burnett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
