ANNA, Ill. -- Mary Imogene Adams, 77, of Anna died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at her home. She was born Sept. 23, 1923, at Alto Pass, Ill., daughter of Lawrence and Edna Angell Sitter. She and Dorris C. Adams were married Nov. 8, 1946, in Metropolis, Ill. He died Nov. 15, 2000...

ANNA, Ill. -- Mary Imogene Adams, 77, of Anna died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at her home.

She was born Sept. 23, 1923, at Alto Pass, Ill., daughter of Lawrence and Edna Angell Sitter. She and Dorris C. Adams were married Nov. 8, 1946, in Metropolis, Ill. He died Nov. 15, 2000.

Adams was a member of the Congregational Church in Alto Pass and Sunshine Inn Senior Citizens in Anna.

Survivors include four daughters, Dr. Cheryl Adams of Brooklyn, N.Y., Karen Skoffic of Carbondale, Ill., Debbie Schroeder of St. Louis, Lisa Hines of LaCrosse, Wis.; two sons, Larry and Robert Adams of Anna; five grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bobby Norton officiating. Burial will be in Alto Pass Cemetery.
