ADVANCE -- Mary Augusta Brashear, 81, of Advance, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 1994, at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka, Ill.
She was born June 9, 1913, at Zalma, daughter of Jason and Florence Myers Hedrick. She married Bryan Bell in 1928, who died May 23, 1960. She later married Clarence Brashear, who also preceded her in death.
Survivors include five sons, Jim Bell of Bloomington, Ill., Gary and Darrell Bell of Chatsworth, Ill., Larry Bell of Forest, Ill., Jerry Bell of Advance; seven daughters, Ruth Cantrell of St. Louis, Peggy Higgins of Flora, Ill., Verna Humphreys of Nashville, Tenn., Shirley Durham, Brenda Hurt, Terry Kertenbaugh and Glenda Baker of Chatsworth; 22 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cowan General Baptist Church in Hiram, with the Rev. Lloyd Green officiating. Burial will be in Cowan Cemetery.
