JACKSON - Mary A. Bowers, 91 of Jackson died at the Cape LaCroix Manor Friday, Aug. 21, 1992.
She was born Aug. 22, 1900 at Oak Ridge, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lape. She was married to George W. Bowers in 1915 and he died on Aug. 10, 1952.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Jackson.
Survivors include: four sons, Ora Bowers of Jackson, George and Paul Bowers of Topeka, Kan., and Jack Bowers of Millersville; four daughters, Helen Mayberry of Jackson, Virginia Mayberry of Twin Lakes, Mich., Rev. Gracie Newell of Oak Ridge, and Juanita Blankenship of Bridgeton; 35 grandchildren and a number of great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two daughters and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson with Rev. John Gourley officiating. Burial will be in Caney Fork Cemetery. Friends may call beginning at 8:30 a.m. today at the funeral home.
