SIKESTON, Mo. -- Marvin C. Walters, 73, of Sikeston passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston. He was born May 31, 1943, in Palatine, Illinois, to Roy and Adeline (Fasse) Walters.
He was baptized and confirmed at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Dundee, Illinois. He spent many years working in landscaping at D. Hill Nursery, at a cemetery in Elgin, Illinois, and as a roofer.
He is survived by his brother, Roy (Diane) Walters of Osage Beach, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Walters.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
A celebration of life will be at noon Tuesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Daniel Maske officiating.
Burial will be at a later date at Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery in Elgin.
