Marvin Kenneth Shinault, 79, of Scott City died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born March 1, 1928, in Haverty Grass, Md., the son of Jesse and Georgia Cornett Shinault.
He married Mary Kay Graham on Oct. 1, 1972, in Aurora, Ill. She survives.
He was employed by Cokener Tree Experts in Wheeling, Ill.
He was a U.S. Army paratrooper during World War II.
He also is survived by a son, Marvin K. Shinault Jr. of Gail, Ill.; five daughters, Katie Slusher and Serena Shinault of Scott City, Brenda McDowell of Denver, and Kathy Whaley and La Neta Jones, both of Rock Springs, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and two brothers.
A private memorial service will be held. Burial will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
