SIKESTON -- Marvin M. Ocheskey, 66, of Sikeston died Wednesday, June 16, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 16, 1933, at Hope, son of August and Amelia Eads Ocheskey. He first married Ruth Knoke, who preceded him in death. He later married Patricia Dorthea Brunke Batchelor June 12, 1982, at Sikeston.
Ocheskey had been a maintenance supervisor with Missouri Highway Department 25 years. He had also owned a grocery store at Belle. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael Ocheskey of Denver City, Texas; two daughters, Barbara Ocheskey of Belle, JoAnn Tangen of Sikeston; a stepson, Frank Batchelor of Cape Girardeau; a stepdaughter, Christine Smith of Pea Ridge, Ark.; a brother, Edward Ocheskey of Slater, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. Friday. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with Msgr. William J. Stanton officiating. A graveside committal service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Bailey's Creek Cemetery near Chamois.
