Marvin Eugene Hoffmann, 62, of Monroe, Mich., died Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at his home.
He was born Dec. 15, 1944, in Cape Girardeau, son of Fred and Freda Sticht Hoffmann. He and Sandra Barnes were married Aug. 5, 2000.
Hoffmann served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1983 and then served 10 years in the Fleet Reserve.
He had a master's degree in business administration. He was a principal quality assurance engineer with Detroit Edison Fermi Power Plant, retiring in 2001.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Michelle Hoffmann and Elizabeth Zelmer of Raleigh, N.C.; a stepdaughter, Heather Bates of Holland, Ohio; a stepson, Rich Barnes III of Temperance, Mich.; two brothers, Jerry Hoffmann of Cape Girardeau, Terry Hoffmann of Virginia Beach, Va.; and a grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Covenant Cremation and Funeral Society of Monroe was in charge of arrangements.
