BLOOMFIELD -- Marvin Henry Phillips, 83, of Bloomfield, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 1995, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.
He was born Feb. 29, 1912, at Bloomfield, son of Henry and Martha Cates Phillips. He and Wanda Short were married June 10, 1933. She died July 31, 1991.
Phillips was a retired farmer, and attended Mt. Pisgah General Baptist Church at Aquilla.
Survivors include two sons, Verlon Phillips of Bloomfield, Merlin Phillips of Williamsville; two sisters, Norma Stroup of Bloomfield, Mary Menley of Dexter; three grandchildren, and five stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Vyron Yount officiating. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery near here.
