BENTON -- Marvin Cecil Ratledge, 91, Benton Route 1, died Thursday, March 31, 1994, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.
He was born Aug. 1, 1902, at Cardwell, son of George W. and Ada Campbell Ratledge. He and Venna Lois Wiley were married Sept. 26, 1923, in Piggott, Ark. She died May 18, 1983. He then married Ethel Bollinger June 7, 1986. She died in February 1992.
Ratledge was a self-employed farmer, and member of Unity Baptist Church.
Survivors include six sons, Wayne Ratledge of Marmaduke, Ark., Dallas Ratledge of North Branch, Mich., James Ratledge of Northfork, W.Va., George Ratledge of Clovis, N.M., Jerry Ratledge of Sikeston, Gary Ratledge of Benton; four daughters, Wilma McMahan of Floral City, Fla., Betty Treece of Millersville, Loretta Whitlock of Oak Ridge, Linda Eccles of Virginia Beach, Va.; 26 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and six stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, daughter, brother, three sisters and a grandson.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Benton after 3 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Dale Huff and Daniel Hale officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery near Greenway, Ark.
