ORAN, Mo. -- Marvene Engram, 87, of Oran passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 14, 1929, in Jerusalem, Arkansas, to the late Marvin and Zelma Jones McCoy. She married Jack Engram Jr. on Dec. 12, 1947, and he preceded her in death Dec. 13, 2016.
Marvene was a retired machine operator from Mad Hatters in Oran. She also worked at Thorngate LTD in Chaffee, Missouri, International Hat in Oran and Florsheim Shoe in Cape Girardeau.
She was a member of Church of Christ in Vanduser, Missouri.
Survivors include a daughter, Nadine (John) Arbuckle of Oran; two brothers, Kenneth McCoy of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Benton McCoy of Colona, Illinois; three sisters, Dee Etta Moore of Adrian, Missouri, Linda Summer of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Brenda Lappin of Springfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Bradley Engram; a great-grandson, Austin Engram; two brothers, Quenton and Darrel McCoy; and a sister, Mary Jo McCoy.
Friends may call from 9 until 10:15 a.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with Dan Richardson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
