STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. — Marty Weiler, 42, of Ste. Genevieve died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 30, 1966, in Perryville, Mo., son of Jerry "Hoot Owl" and Georgia Brown Weiler. He and Sandy L. Flieg were married Sept. 9, 1989.
Weiler was Valle High School girls basketball coach. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1037 and Valle Athletic Club.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Nolan Weiler; a daughter, Sydnie Weiler; his parents, all of Ste. Genevieve; a brother, Jason (Rachel) Weiler of Zell, Mo.; two sisters, Pam (Jim) Meyer of Zell, Jenny (Byron) Siebert of Ste. Genevieve; grandmothers, Mercedes Weiler and Leatha Brown of Ste. Genevieve; father and mother-in-law, Don and Dianne Flieg of Weingarten, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Mike (Geri) Flieg; and a sister-in-law, Missy (Tom) Schilly.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers Martin Weiler and Leonard Brown.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Church of Ste. Genevieve. Monsignor Daniel Mosley will officiate. Burial will be in Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve.
