ST. LOUIS -- Martin B. Lechner III, 60, of St. Louis died Saturday, June 22, 2002, at the Jewish Center for the Aged. He was born on May 5, 1942, at St. Louis, son of Martin B. Lechner Sr. and Mildred Baker Lechner. He and Mary Ellen (Murph) Masterson were married for 37 years...

ST. LOUIS -- Martin B. Lechner III, 60, of St. Louis died Saturday, June 22, 2002, at the Jewish Center for the Aged.

He was born on May 5, 1942, at St. Louis, son of Martin B. Lechner Sr. and Mildred Baker Lechner. He and Mary Ellen (Murph) Masterson were married for 37 years.

Lechner graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1964, and received his MBA from Washington University in 1966. He spent many years as a marketing manager for IBM Financial Data Systems and Citicorp. He was also active with Explorer Scouting as well as an avid cyclist and fisherman. He enjoyed flying small planes as well.

Survivors include his wife; a son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Stephanie Lechner; son Bradley Lechner; two brothers, Steven and Donald Lechner; and a sister-in-law, Tara Saylors.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church in Kirkwood, Mo.
