Marti Sander Beasley, 50, of Cape Girardeau after a long and courageous fight took her final breath in this world Saturday, March 19, 2011, and took the hand of God peacefully to be in glory with him. She is now healed and at her heavenly home with her parents, Dave and Mildred.

She was born Jan. 29, 1961, in Cape Girardeau, to David G. and Mildred Mayfield Sander.

Marti was manager of Subway Restaurant on Broadway.

Survivors include two daughters, Lindsey and Chelsey Beasley of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Kay (Paul) Kesterson of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Paul (Sylvia) Sander of Belleville, Ill., Tom (Eileen) Sander of Memphis, Tenn.; five nephews, P.R., Jason and Zac (Catie) Kesterson, David (Dawn) and Tommy (Christy) Sander; two nieces, Nikki McCormack and Elizabeth Sander; six great-nephews, Devin, Liam and Nathaniel Kesterson, Jack Sander, Colin and Miller McCormack; six great-nieces, Dakota Kesterson, Alexa, Kate and Lizzie Sander, Anna McCormack, and Josalyn Kesterson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Pringle officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions may be given to American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
