COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Martha Underwood, 88, of Columbia passed away Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at The Neighborhoods at Tiger Place in Columbia.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Parkade Baptist Church, 2102 N. Garth Ave.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Martha was born Oct. 31, 1929, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of James and Nellie Jewel (Thomas) Hall, who preceded her in death.
She was married in 1968 to Jim Underwood, who survives of the home.
Martha was a faithful member of Parkade Baptist Church in Columbia and always was known for the love and care she showed for others.
She loved reading and cooking and never could have enough Cokes!
Martha bettered the lives of all she met, and she will be missed dearly.
Other survivors include one daughter, LuAnn Conner of St. Louis; one grandson, Austin Conner of Columbia; and three great-grandchildren, Adelyn, Tyler and Clayton.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Ann Faris and Jewell Lee; one son, Donald Paul Sitton; and one daughter, Cindy Jo Sitton.
