ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Martha F. Scholl, 93, of Altenburg died Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 16, 1908, at Altenburg, daughter of Joseph and Johanna Adner Hoehne. She and Rudolph E. Scholl were married June 29, 1929. He died July 16, 1967.
Scholl had worked at Florsheim Shoe Co. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid at Altenburg, was past president of Navy Mothers Club in Cape Girardeau and senior citizens program.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Scholl of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Jim Scholl of Jackson, Mo.; two brothers, Leonard Hoehne of Brazeau, Mo., Curt Hoehne of Shawneetown, Mo.; a sister, Frieda Newberry of St. Louis; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, two brothers, and two sisters.
Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg, with the Rev. Walter Patzwitz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
