MARTHA R. SMITH

Martha R. "Martie" Smith, 57, 105 S. Spanish, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1993, in a pedestrian-vehicle accident on Highway 146 in East Cape Girardeau, Ill.

She was born June 12, 1936, in South Whitley, Ind., daughter of Virgil and Beulah Bollinger Smith.

Smith was a 1954 graduate of Central High School.

Survivors include three sons, Randy and Jay Metzger of New Haven, Ind., Dennis Metzger of Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter, Candice Baldacci of North Manchester, Ind.; her mother, Beulah Hunn of North Manchester; three sisters, Judy Coble of Alexandria, Ind., Betty Murphy of Wabash, Ind., Nancy Eads of Warsaw, Ind., and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at North Manchester Missionary Church. Pastor Dan Binkley will officiate, with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church at 1 p.m. Sunday.
