ANNA, Ill. -- Martha Lucille Pengress, 82, of Anna died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, at her home.
She was born May 17, 1915, in Marion, daughter of Coll and Alice Greer Chamness. She and George P. Pengress were married June 5, 1941, in Napoleon, Ohio. He died Oct. 18, 1981.
Pengress was a member of First Baptist Church, and charter member of Anna VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include a daughter, Della McMahan of Wolf Lake; three sons, Frank Pengress of Herrin, Richard Pengress of Anna, Robin Pengress of Jonesboro; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Harner officiating. Burial will be in Casper Cemetery.
