Martha Myers

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Martha M. Myers, 88, of Mounds died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo, Ill.

She was born May 15, 1920, in Smithland, Ky., daughter of Wesley and Bertha Ann Dillard.

Myers was a restaurant cook many years.

Survivors include two sons, William Busby of Thebes, Ill., Clifford Busby of Orange County, Fla.; two daughters, Betty Peeler of Clinton, Ky., Martha Busby of Orange County; and a sister, Mary Ann Brown of Rapid Falls, Mich.

She was preceded in death by husbands, brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo.

Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds, with the Rev. Jimmie Monahan officiating.
