MOREHOUSE -- Martha Milvina Metcalf, 84, of Morehouse died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born Jan. 11, 1915, at Bell City, daughter of George W. and Nancy L. Daggett Branson. She and Henry L. Metcalf were married Aug. 20, 1955, at St. Louis. He died June 15, 1986...

MOREHOUSE -- Martha Milvina Metcalf, 84, of Morehouse died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 11, 1915, at Bell City, daughter of George W. and Nancy L. Daggett Branson. She and Henry L. Metcalf were married Aug. 20, 1955, at St. Louis. He died June 15, 1986.

She was a waitress at the Sellam House Cafe and a food service worker at the St. Louis City Hospital for 30 years. She was a member of the Canalou Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Raymond and Robert Branson, both of St. Louis; two daughters, Deloris Parks of Denver, Colo., and Carol McCraw of Morehouse; a stepdaughter, Loyce Remy of Stockton, Calif.; a brother, George Branson of Bridgeton; three sisters, Lillian Egnar of Cahokia, Ill., Dollie Gibbs of White Ash, Ill., and Tena Prather of Collinsville, Ill.; 25 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and 28 grand-stepchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, daughter and four brothers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel at Sikeston.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Matthews Cemetery, with the Rev. Dewayne Coleman officiating.
