SIKESTON -- Martha Lou Kimbrell, 84, of Union, formerly of Sikeston, died Monday, March 23, 1998, at Sunset Healthcare Center in Union.
She was born July 14, 1913, in Berry, Ala., daughter of William Austin and Ruth Johns Barnes. She married William C. "Jake" Kimbrell, who died Dec. 18, 1973.
Kimbrell was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Sara Sadler of Union, Jakie Harbin of Mobile, Ala.; a son, W.C. Kimbrell Jr. of Missouri; a brother, Ralph Barnes; two sisters, Eleanor Hartraft and Betty McGowan.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Julius Ketsenburg officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
