MARTHA JARVIS

CAIRO, Ill. -- Graveside service for Martha L. Jarvis of Cairo will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge. Dr. Larry L. Potts will officiate.

Private family visitation will be at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo.

Jarvis, 83, died Tuesday, April 1, 1997, at Daystar Care Center.

She was born Feb. 9, 1914, in Cairo, daughter of John and Edna Lind Bergman.

Jarvis had worked at the former St. Mary's Hospital, and was secretary at Cairo Baptist Church many years. She was a member of the church and Cairo Woman's Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Joan Norris of Oviedo, Fla.; a son, Rick Jarvis of Deer Creek; and three grandchildren.
