CAIRO, Ill. -- Martha J. Edwards, 62, of Cairo died Friday, Dec. 8, 1995, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
She was born in Cairo July 16, 1933, daughter of Flem and Ada Carter Chrestman.
She was a piano instructor for many years and was a member of the Cairo Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, William Edwards Jr. of Cairo; her daughter, Jackie Henry of Sturgis, Miss.; a brother, Ernest Chrestman of Mounds, Ill.; and a sister, Leoma Saar of Fort McCoy, Fla.
A sister and three brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo after 5 p.m. today. Friends may call at Cairo Baptist Church Monday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Cairo Baptist Church, with Dr. Larry L. Potts officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Cemetery in Mounds.
