Martha Valeria Clymer, 87, of Scott City died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Nov. 23, 1916, at Kelso, Mo., daughter of Grover Cleveland and Gracie Mae Garvey Newell. She and Quentin Pershing Clymer were married Dec. 12, 1945, in Rector, Ark.
Mrs. Clymer had been a machine operator at Ely Walker Co. in Scott City and International Shoe Co. in St. Louis. She was a member of Broadway Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Michael Clymer of McClure, Ill.; a daughter, Martha Groves of Jackson; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a twin sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cape County Memorial Park, with the Rev. Charles Lance officiating.
