Marta Lynn Hargrave, 65, of Jackson passed away Monday, April 22, 2019, at her home.
She was born Dec. 1, 1953, in Advance, Missouri, daughter of Elwood and Frieda Mae Ingram Lacy. Marta and Charles Hargrave were united in marriage March 23, 1976, in Cape Girardeau County, and he survives of the home.
Marta had worked for many years as a legal secretary for Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, as well as for Cape Girardeau County Clerk. She also had worked as a Cape Girardeau County Support Enforcement officer.
She was an animal lover, especially her cats. She enjoyed decorating, flowers and gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Hargrave; three brothers, Edward Lacy of Ackerman, Mississippi, Phillip Lacy of Commerce, Missouri, and Glen Lacy of Oran, Missouri; and sister, Pamela Waters of Decatur, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Odell Lacy.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Conn officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
