CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Marsharlene Cox Harris, 53, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Charleston, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Whitehaven, Miss.
She was born Nov. 25, 1947, in Indiana, daughter of Creola and William Cox.
She graduated from Loop College in Chicago in 1974. She was employed by the Internal Revenue Service Treasury Department from 1975 to 2000.
Survivors include her husband, Willie James Harris of Memphis; her mother, Creola Bacon of Chicago; a daughter, Anita J. Russell of Memphis; a brother, William Sidney Cox Jr. of Dayton, Ohio; five sisters, Charlotte Ajose and Edwina Cox, both of Chicago; Andrell Cox of Charleston, and Tanya Cox and Doretha Sweatt, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; four grandchildren; and 10 stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lavern Frazier officiating.
The remains will be cremated.
