CHARLESTON -- Marshall Oliver Stallings, 88, of Charleston, died Wednesday, March 3, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 26, 1904, in Lebanon Junction, Ky., son of Rufus Sherman and Jennie Deats Stallings. He and Nellie Kathryn Feezor were married Feb. 15, 1928.

Stallings was a farmer. He was a member of First Baptist Church, and had served as deacon.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Floyd and Martin Stallings of Charleston; five daughters, Ruth Moore and Shirley Anderson of Charleston, Evelyn Pruitt of Paducah, Ky., Mary Drummond of Barlow, Ky., Carol Knudson of Naperville, Ill.; a brother, Paul Stallings of Charleston; three sisters, Viola French of New Madrid, Flossie LeMaster of Somonauk, Fla., Gladys Maxwell of Sikeston; 19 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McMikle Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Gerald Collier will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
