SIKESTON, Mo. -- Marshall H. Northcutt, 90, of Sikeston died Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 7, 1918, in Cerro Gordo, Tenn., son of Granville Hobart and Daisy Northcutt. He and Mabel Nimmo were married March 10, 1941. She died May 30, 2002.
Northcutt was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II.
He worked for Himmelberger-Harrison at Morehouse more than 40 years before retiring.
Survivors include a son, Charles Northcutt of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Linda Ledbetter of Sikeston; three brothers, Rudy Northcutt of Kalkaska, Mich., Bing Northcutt of Bloomfield, Mo., Bob Northcutt of Dexter, Mo.; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son.
Private interment will be in Bloomfield Cemetery at a later date.
Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston was in charge of arrangements.
