ANNA, Ill. — Marshall C. Moss, 79, of Anna died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2008, at his home. He was born Sept. 20, 1928, in Taos, Mexico, son of Alfred Lee and Hazel Patchen Moss. He and Vivian Jean Rogers were married Aug. 7, 1948, in Oceola, Ark. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Moss was a member of the Landmark Pentecostal Church in Anna. ANNA, Ill. — Marshall C. Moss, 79, of Anna died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2008, at his home.

He was born Sept. 20, 1928, in Taos, Mexico, son of Alfred Lee and Hazel Patchen Moss. He and Vivian Jean Rogers were married Aug. 7, 1948, in Oceola, Ark.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Moss was a member of the Landmark Pentecostal Church in Anna. He was a retired brakeman for the railroad.

Marshall is survived by his wife; four children, Roger Moss of Jonesboro, Ill., Marsha Berg of Grand Forks, N.D., Jerry Moss of Johnson City, Tenn., and Terry Moss of Hampton, Tenn.; two brothers, Arthur Moss of Marion Ill., and Charles Moss of St. Louis; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Alfred, and a sister, Adein.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Landmark Pentecostal Church.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Richard Pearch officiating.

Interment will be at McKinney Chapel Cemetery. with full military honors conducted by Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455.
