CHARLESTON -- Marshall Louis George, 62, of Charleston, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1993, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 25, 1929, at Charleston, son of William Louis and Orlena Franklin George.
He married Genevieve Hicks, Nov. 11, 1971. She died April 29, 1975.
George lived in Mississippi County all his life, where he worked as a tankerman with the Alamo Barge Line, headquartered in Texas.
He was a member of the Elm Street Baptist Church in Charleston.
Survivors include a daughter, Marsha Morse of Bertrand; three brothers, Russell George of Bertrand, Bill George of Sikeston, Mickey George of Charleston; and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his wife, a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Thursday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, with the Rev. Roger Foster officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston.
