DONGOLA, Ill. -- Dr. Marshall Evans Burrell, 72, of Dongola, died Wednesday March 12, 1997, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
He was born in Kalispell, Mont., on March 1, 1925, to Gabriel and Fern Jackson Burrell.
He was a 1954 graduate of Washington State University in Pullman with a doctorate in veterinary medicine. He practiced for more than 30 years at the Ulrich Veterinary Clinic in Dongola. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a past member of Anna VFW. He was a member of the American Veterinary Medicine Association and a past member of the Soil and Water Conservation Board.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda Dillow of Cobden and Marsha Sanders of Paducah; four sisters, Doris Williams of Kalispell, Marjorie Taylor of Bellingham, Wash., Elva Ulrich of Dongola and Maxine Wesp of Coon Rapids, Minn.; a brother, Gerald Burrell of Kalispell; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Crain Funeral Home in Dongola.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Roger Palmer officiating. Interment will be in the American Legion Cemetery, with military rites by Carroll P. Foster of VFW Post 3455.
