SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- Marsha Eva Murray, 51, of Springfield died Tuesday, March 26, 1996, at Regency Nursing Center.
She was born Dec. 17, 1944, in Hanford, Wash., to Waldo B. and Eva Mae Rocasi Miller.
Murray was a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the League of Women Voters and the University of Illinois Alumni Association. She was past president of the Senior Citizens of Sangamon County Inc. Board of Directors. She was employed at Horace Mann Insurance Co., where she started in 1984 and rose to vice president and general counsel.
Survivors include a son, Matthew Townes Murray of Springfield; and her mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. William Lee Townes of Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call from 5-7:30 p.m. today at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield, where funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Gerry L. Comstock will officiate, and the Rev. Howard Mueller will officiate at a graveside service at 3 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
