ANNA, Ill. -- Marlyn W. Hoffman, 63, of Anna, formerly of Dongola, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 1994, at Union County Hospital.
He was born Jan. 17, 1931, in Webster City, Iowa, son of John and Etta Scott Hoffman. He and Carolyn Barbee were married in 1984 at Salem. She died in 1989.
Survivors include four sons, Byron Hoffman of Anna, Steve and Loran Hoffman of Dongola, Byron Hoffman II of Cobden; three daughters, Sharon Hutchison of Jonesboro, Eileen Cruse of Anna, Jeanette Bracken of Dongola; three brothers, John "Shorty" Hoffman of Fairfield, Calif., Garland Hoffman of Kansas City, Kan., Ivan Hoffman of Rudy, Ark.; a sister, Darlene Marshall of Fairfield; 15 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren, and four great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Dulaney officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery, with military rites conducted by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna.
