SIKESTON, Mo. -- Marlin Lee Smith, 80, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at Miner Nursing Center in Miner, Mo.
He was born Jan. 24, 1923, in East Prairie, Mo., son of Jess and Karleen Harris Smith. He and Nancy Ellen Groves were married Dec. 28, 1942.
Smith lived in Bertrand, Mo., 41 years and was a retired farmer. He moved to Sikeston in 1983 and was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sandra Mock of Bertrand; a son, Bill Smith of Lafayette, Ind.; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and a sister.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., after noon Sunday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Pat Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
