Mark Alan Stovall, 56, of Egypt Mills died Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Southeast Hospital.
He was born June 22, 1955, in Cape Girardeau to Max G. and Evelyn Pletcher Stovall.
He graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1973 and received a bachelor's degree from Murray State University in 1978.
He and Jane C. Reed were married May 20, 1978, at Oak Park, Ill.
Mr. Stovall had worked for Max Stovall Construction, Stovall Block & Brick Co. Delta Concrete, and later was a building inspector for the city of Cape Girardeau, retiring in December 2010.
Survivors include his wife, Jane C. Stovall of Egypt Mills; a son, Cody Stovall of Egypt Mills; a daughter, Katelyn Stovall of Cape Girardeau; a grandson, Lane Conrad of Cape Girardeau; his mother, Evelyn Stovall of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Nancy (Tom) Ross Jr. of St. Louis; a niece, Gina Ross Henry of St. Louis; and a great-niece, Lauren Henry of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Max G. Stovall, and a sister, Maxine J. Stovall.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jason Hill officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to Carcinoid Cancer Society.
