MARK NEWTON JR.

Mark "Mardy" Newton Jr., 38, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1993 at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 19, 1955 in Sikeston, the son of Mark Newton and Lennie Cleo Stovall Newton, who survive of Perkins.

He is also survived by one sister, Marka Gribble of Portageville. One brother preceded him in death.

He worked as a machine operator at Florsheim Shoe Company in Chaffee and was a member of Faith Baptist Temple in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service was held Saturday at Perkins Baptist Church with the Revs. Robert Francis and J.C. Mattox officiating. Burial follows in Williams Cemetery in Perkins. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee was in charge of arrangements.
