PERRYVILLE -- Funeral service for Mark M. Oliver of Heilbronn, Baden Wurttemburg, Germany, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Donald Loesch will officiate, with burial in Home Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Saturday.
Oliver, 37 years old, died Wednesday, March 6, 1991, in Heilbronn.
He was born April 28, 1953, in Rockford, Ill., son of Charles R. and Winifred M. Hinks Oliver. He and the former Marie A. Wakefield were married July 3, 1983.
Oliver was instrumental in the cave mapping system with the City of Perryville, and received the Lester B. Dill Award in 1982. He also received the Missouri Speleological President's Volunteerism Award in 1985.
Survivors include his wife; his mother; a brother, Everet Osgood of Belvidere, Ill.; two sisters, Cathy Taylor of Belvidere, Marchia Oliver of Stamford, Conn., and grandmother, Petronilla Smith of Texas.
