Mark Livesay ANNA, Ill. -- Mark Livesay, 52, of Anna died Friday, Aug. 7, 2009. He was born Jan. 17, 1957, in Wadeena, Minn., to Harold and Evelyn Orr Livesay. Mark Livesay

ANNA, Ill. -- Mark Livesay, 52, of Anna died Friday, Aug. 7, 2009.

He was born Jan. 17, 1957, in Wadeena, Minn., to Harold and Evelyn Orr Livesay. He and Becky Rogers were married June 3, 1977.

Livesay was a member of First Evangelical Presbyterian Church where he held positions of deacon and elder. He was a table leader and prayer warrior on Walk to Emmaus. He was a Promise Keeper and supporter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

He retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Marion, Ill., as a senior officer specialist, and was a member of American Federation of Government Employees. He served 14 years on District 37 School Board as board member and vice president, and for several years was a voting delegate for the Illinois Association of School Boards.

Mark enjoyed target shooting and was a life member of the NRA. An avid bicyclist, Mark served as assistant race co-coordinator of the Union County Colorfest Biathalon.

He always kept up on the latest advancements in computer technology. He loved camping and spending time with family and friends.

His Lord and savior Jesus Christ was first and foremost in every area of his life. He was known for his faith. When people asked how they could pray for him he asked them to pray for others. He prayed for the Lord to use him to move people.

Survivors include his wife, Becky of Anna; a daughter, Magen Livesay of Anna; his parents, Harold and Evelyn Livesay of Jonesboro, Ill.; two sisters, Cheryl (Elmer) Valleroy of Benton and Susan (Dale) Kinder of Jonesboro; two brothers, Phillip (Mary Beth) Livesay of Texas, Steve Livesay of Jonesboro; his mother-in-law, Carolyn Rogers-Hickam (Jesse); special aunt and uncle, Nancy and Terry Brown of Anna; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Randy Carstens and Enloe Clemons officiating. Interment will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University and will be accepted at the funeral home.
