Mark Stephen Huckabee, 56, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 13, 1960, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, to Floyd and Wyvonna Jackson Huckabee.
Mark was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School.
He had worked at the Food Giant grocery store in Cape Girardeau for 39 years. He then worked for two and a half years at Ole Hickory Pits in Cape Girardeau.
He enjoyed fishing, remote-control cars and planes and riding dirt bikes. Mark taught himself to play the guitar, and he loved his family and his best friend, Eva, his pet cat.
Survivors include two brothers, Ron (Mary Jane) Huckabee of Cape Girardeau and John (Debbie) Huckabee of Jackson; three nieces, Rhonda (Kevin) Jones of Jackson and Aimee (David) Martin and Kelly (Kenny) Gardner, both of Cape Girardeau; and a nephew, Chad (Nicole) Huckabee of Millersville. He is also lovingly survived by many great-nieces and -nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the Mount Auburn Christian Church on Mount Auburn Road in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. at the church, with the Rev. Casey Elmore officiating.
Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
