Mark D. Emmendorfer, 46, of Dallas passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2007.
He was born July 29, 1960, in Perryville, Mo., son of Frank and Bettilee Cook Emmendorfer.
Mark was a 1978 graduate of St. Vincent de Paul High School in Perryville. He received a bachelor's degree in graphic communication from Washington University in St. Louis.
With a passion for creativity, Mark began his career in Minneapolis in graphic design. He then moved to Dallas where he established, owned, and operated Interiors By Design.
Mark was a loving son, brother, uncle and godfather, who had a strong faith and was inspired by the Immaculate Mary.
Loving survivors include his parents of Jackson; three brothers, Dan (Joyce) Emmendorfer of Cape Girardeau, Paul (Beth) Emmendorfer of Jackson, Matt (Elizabeth) Emmendorfer of Cranberry Township, Pa.; a sister, Marcia (John) Thompson of Jackson; a brother-in-law, Rick Ziegler of Jackson; two nephews, J.P. Thompson of Jackson, Brian Emmendorfer of Cape Girardeau; seven nieces, Angie Emmendorfer of Anna, Ill., Emily Thompson, Madison Scheper, Allison Ziegler, Anna Ziegler, Kate Emmendorfer, all of Jackson, and Margaret Emmendorfer of Cranberry Township.
Mark was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Beth Ziegler.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 9 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Parish prayers will be at 7, followed by the rosary led by St. Ann's Sodality.
Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson, with Monsignor Edward Eftink and the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
