MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Mark B. Copeland, 51, of Marble Hill died Monday, April 18, 2005, at his home.
He was born Oct. 11, 1953, in Chicago, son of Clyde and Luann Dempster Copeland. He and Jan Cogdill Stoffel were married Aug. 11, 1995, in St. Charles, Ill.
Copeland was a graduate of Conant High School in Hoffman Estates, Ill. He worked many years for Preston Trucking in Elgin, Ill., and then several years at Quality Freight in Cape Girardeau prior to his illness.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Benjamin Copeland of Shoreline, Wash.; a stepdaughter, Tracy Stoffel of Marble Hill; his mother of Delavan, Wis.; a sister, Lyn Frohling of Geneva, Ill.; and a brother, David Copeland of Elkhorn, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 5 to 7 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Friend Cemetery at Oran, Mo.
